After the unsuccessful attempts at starting the body of the sweater I decided to do one of the sleeves first. Much fewer stitches to cast on, and much faster progress into the pattern. I just couldn’t face casting on nearly 300 stitches for a third time in three days.
Again, it’s crazy how different the colour is depending on the light.
This picture shows the increases. They hide really well in the moss stitch type pattern. I pick up and twist stitches from the row below to try to minimise holes where the increases are worked.
It’s great to see that the yarn works, and that the size is ok. Haven’t broken the yarn either. Long may it continue…
